Meet the Schaibles: Todd, Stephanie, and sons. They are what happens when the Spirit of God is poured out on those He predestined. God remembered the covenant that He made to redeem His chosen people from eternity past and lavished them with the riches of His grace; they in spite of being made in His image and having been given an inner knowledge of Him; have used and continue to use their free will to choose sin in rebellion against Him and His righteousness. They are a part of the chosen people of God and are now able to please God as they have been given new life by the Spirit of God. They have been given new desires, the desire to make God the desire of their hearts and the desire to love others as themselves. They have been consumed by the Spirit of God who has pointed them to Christ, the one Who has made them acceptable to their heavenly Father. They are Christians, Calvinists, Reformed Presbyterians, who hold to deeds and creeds; Todd being stronger in deeds, tirelessly serving his family and community because He knows that he works for God. Stephanie being stronger in creeds, desiring to see the Holy inspired Word of God faithfully taught and honored because she personally knows of the great power and ability that it has to redeem and transform lives. She tirelessly strives to encourage others to see that the historic orthodox Christian creeds and doctrines are a picture of God, taken directly from God’s revelation of himself to us in the Holy Bible, tools that help us keep our sin tainted thinking straight. As Rocky Balboa would say, Todd and Stephanie have "gaps", but together, they fill gaps, and it is only by God’s grace that they are still filling each other’s gaps to this very day. To God alone be all the Glory.
The Schaibles are currently living in and serving the Lord in the American south which at times seems a bit like living in a foreign land because it is so very different from the American west where they have spent most of their lives. They care about their community and are grieved by the number of lost souls where they live, especially in light of the number of churches that are present there and in light of the fact that their community has already been evangelized and saturated with the gospel. They are also concerned about the nominal Christianity and the immature Christianity that is present there. God has given them the desire to try to do something to help, and they are praying that God would use them by His grace, to plant a new Presbyterian church in their community; a simple church without burdensome programs that keep busy people busier, but a biblical church where God’s people can gather for simple reverent worship that is pleasing to Him and where they can hear God speak to them by the preaching of His Word and where they can participate in His sacraments (baptism and the Lord’s supper) and where people are being added to their numbers and where everything that they do is saturated in prayer and where His people can grow from immaturity to maturity by His grace; learning to see Him more clearly, love Him more dearly, and serve Him more willingly; all for His glory. This has not been an easy task especially in their area of TN given the presence of very strong anti-Calvinist sentiment, misunderstandings about Presbyterianism, individualistic American spirituality and anti-religious ideas, the growing unpopularity of Christianity and growth of human secularism in general, and the fact that we are still living in a fallen world that is tainted by sin, but they suppose that if God wanted to make it easy for them, He would have done so already. So, here they stand, on Christ who is their solid rock, their firm foundation, the one who is the very center of their Calvinistic Christianity, and they rejoice that He has not left them to themselves, He has left them with His Spirit. To those who would say that "Calvinism is Christianity without Jesus" and other such things, they would say, “We love you, we are willing to forgive these kinds of misunderstandings and not hold them against you, we are praying for you- for God’s blessing to be on you, and we hope for the perfect knowledge that will someday be given to all who have put their trust in Christ alone for salvation by grace alone through faith alone.”
Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
We are still having Bible study on Sunday (5pm) and Wednesday (7pm). Contact us for meeting location details and please pray that the Lord would bless our Bible study, that it would grow into a true church. If you are looking for a good church home, we would like to be a good church home- we are asking God to provide the increase (1 Corinthians 1:3-6). In the mean time, you are more than welcome to join us for worship at Wolf River Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Collierville. We realize that 2 hours of driving each way to get to a faithful church in modern day America in order to worship the Lord in a way that is pleasing to Him may seem like a stretch to some, but there are saints walking 2 hours each way to church to faithfully worship our Lord in Africa. Letting that sink in is humbling.
Psalm 84:5 Blessed are those whose strength is in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage. 6 As they pass through the Valley of Baka, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools. 7 They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion.

West Tennessee Reformed is a biblically conservative Presbyterian church planting effort where Christ is preached consistently and where God speaks powerfully through his written word, The Holy Bible.
