Meet the Schaibles: Todd, Stephanie, and sons. They are what happens when the Spirit of God is poured out on those He predestined (Ephesians 1). God remembered the covenant that He made to redeem His people from eternity past, lavished them with the riches of His grace, and made Himself the desire of their hearts. They have been sealed by the Spirit of God who has united them to Christ. They are Christians, Reformed Presbyterians, who hold to creeds and deeds; Todd being strong in deeds, tirelessly serving his family and community because He knows that ultimately, he works for God. Stephanie being strong in creeds, desiring to see the Holy inspired Word of God faithfully taught and honored because she personally knows of the great power that it has through the work of the Holy Spirit to transform lives. She tirelessly strives to encourage others to read, study, love the Bible, and understand that creeds and confessions are tools that help us keep our fallible thinking about God straight. As Rocky Balboa would say, Todd and Stephanie have "gaps", but together, they fill gaps, and it is only by God’s grace that they are still filling each other’s gaps to this very day. To God alone be all the Glory.
The Schaibles are currently living in and serving the Lord in the American south which at times seems a bit like living in a foreign land to Stephanie because it is so very different from the American west where she spent most of her life, but together they care about their community and are grieved by the number of lost souls where they live, especially in light of the number of churches that are present there, and in light of the fact that their community has already been heavily evangelized and saturated with the gospel. God has given them the desire to try to do something to help, and they are praying that God would use them by His grace, to plant a new Presbyterian church in their community; a simple church without burdensome programs that tend to keep busy people busier, a biblical church where God’s people can gather for simple reverent worship that is pleasing to Him, where they can hear God speak to them by the preaching of His Word, where they can participate in the sacraments (baptism and the Lord’s supper), where people are being added to their numbers, where everything that they do is saturated in prayer, and where God's people can grow from immaturity to maturity by His grace; learning to see Him more clearly, love Him more dearly, praise Him heartily for who He is and what He has done, and serve Him more willingly; all for His glory. This has not been an easy task because of common misunderstandings about Presbyterianism and the Reformed faith in general, individualistic American spirituality, the growth of secular humanism; and a loss of interest in Christianity, church life, and Bible study. However, they are not without Hope!
Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
We are still having Bible study on Sunday (5pm) and Wednesday (7pm) evenings. Contact us for meeting location details and please pray that the Lord would bless our Bible study, that it would grow into a church. If you are looking for a good church home, we would like to be a good church home and we are asking God to provide the increase (1 Corinthians 1:3-6). In the mean time, you are more than welcome to join us for worship at Wolf River Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Collierville. We realize that 2 hours of driving each way to get to a faithful Reformed Presbyterian church in order to worship the Lord in a way that is pleasing to Him may seem like a stretch to some, but we have heard there are saints walking 2 hours each way to church to faithfully worship our Lord in Africa. Letting that sink in is humbling.
Psalm 84:5 Blessed are those whose strength is in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage. 6 As they pass through the Valley of Baka, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools. 7 They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion.
"A pilgrimage is an arduous journey, not a cross-continental flight."

We would love to have you join us, come as you are-

And here is an amazing and more recent message from Wolf River Orthodox Presbyterian Church for you to hear:
West Tennessee Reformed is a biblically conservative Presbyterian church planting effort where Christ is preached consistently and where God speaks powerfully through his written word, The Holy Bible.
